Dragvoll Open Day

September's centennial celebration month will be kicked off by an open day at Dragvoll. Trondheim residents and all NTNU students and staff are invited to an exciting educational and entertaining day.
The Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology Management will mark their centennial celebration with an open day at Dragvoll, where visitors of all ages from students in secondary school to senior citizens will be given a glimpse into the what is going on at the two faculties. The open day includes exhibitions and artistic performances, lectures and panel debates. Through engaging and fun activities, attendees will learn about NTNU's rich research and teaching environment, from foreign language to sociology, teacher education to psychology, music and media to technology management.
Most of the day's events will be in Norwegian, but there are a number of lectures and exhibitions that are in English, including:
- 10:00-10:55 (Gata) Lost in Translation? ”Billie Holiday in Norwegian” - English lecture with music, by Annjo K. Greenall, Bjørn Alterhaug, Ernst-Wiggo Sandbakk, Thomas Torstrup
- 14:15-15:25 (Room D15) Globalization, integration and dialog between cultures: mini lectures by Indra DeSoysa (in English), Berit Berg and Martin Thomassen
- 14:15-14:45 (Room D2) ROME - the TV series: Lecture in English by Dr Martin Dinter from King’s College, London
- All day (Room D14) Thinking Geographically about House and Home - exhibition by the Department of Geography
