International cooperation
The Faculty has a large percentage of employees, doctoral candidates and students with an international background. We also offer many international Master's programmes taught in English.
We cooperate with a number of universities, industry partners and organizations. Our students are encouraged to engage in global issues through courses included in our programs of study. The courses involve fieldwork in other countries, such as China, India and Tibet.
The faculty has had a continuous collaboration with Chinese, academic units in Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an and Nanjing since 1989.
Joint activities China-Norway
Several of our students have received architectural awards and their work has been published internationally, for architectural projects with a global and social profile. Tyin tegnestue and Workshop (formerly Studio Tacloban) are our most recognized student initiatives.
Staff members are also internationally recognized through research, artistic and architectural work. They exhibit at renowned venues abroad, like the Architecture Biennale in Venice.
Our research centers have in particular considerable international and national contacts.
