The Building Process Day 2013
Invitation to the Building Process Day 2013 - a unique focal point for key players in the construction industry
The Building Process Day - 06/13/2013
We are pleased to invite to the Building Process Day in 2013, to be held on Thursday 13 June at NTNU in Trondheim. The theme of the day is the building process, which is a key driver for value creation, productivity and competitiveness in the construction industry, as well as for sustainable physical environment with high quality - from site level down to individual works.
The construction industry is facing major challenges. Important social challenges, low productivity, rapid emergence of new technologies and an observed lowering of the quality of our built environment are factors driving change and creating the need for new solutions. Actors from various phases of the construction process, from idea and concept development through engineering and construction to the building's operation phase, are currently facing a number of interdisciplinary challenges and opportunities. These challenges and opportunities can only to a limited degree be managed and optimized within private enterprise, department or organization separately.
We want to promote and discuss leading national initiatives and research / innovation projects on the theme building process. From the overall policy level (Governmental White Paper, Bygg21), the overall industry level (a national initiative for better knowledge building processes at NTNU), down to specific research and innovation activities.
The event takes place in a collaborative NTNU and actors from the construction and property industry.
