Bioinformatics and functional genomics (FUGE)
At NTNU a good deal of the bioinformatics activity is associated with Functional Genomics (FUGE) and its technology platforms. FUGE is a large-scale programme set up by the Research Council of Norway that successfully has enhanced the quality of functional genomics research in Norway.
Through the FUGE programme national technology platforms has been established. The platforms are providing services on their specific technology and can be used by all researchers in Norway. In addition, the technology platforms do their own research, both on the technologies and on projects using the technologies.
You find further information about the FUGE activity at NTNU here.
The Bioinformatics Platform project in FUGE is hosted by the University of Bergen (UiB), with platform nodes at the University of Oslo (UiO) and NTNU. You will find more information about the activity and services at the Bioinformatics Platform here.
The NTNU bioinformatics node is hosted by Faculty of Medicine (DMF) and further information about the NTNU node is here.
