MR Core Facility

MR Core Facility's mission is to create a dynamic and productive environment for researchers at NTNU, St. Olavs Hospital and for our national and international collaborators, offering users the latest technology in MR-scanning as well as technical support and expertise.

The facility will also offer services to researchers from other universities in Norway and other national users.

MR Core Facility offers service to support research needs for in vivo MR imaging and spectroscopy in disease models in small animals as well as MR metabolomics of human tissue samples and body fluids and ex vivo high resolution NMR spectroscopy. In addition to providing access to MR instruments, we can facilitate in areas such as experimental planning, MR-sequence optimization, training for MR-scanning and guidance with post-processing of MR data.

The MR Core Facility is located at the MR Center at St. Olav Hospital and belongs to Department of Circulation and Medical Imaging at Faculty of Medicine, NTNU.

We provide access to:

  • 7T Bruker Biospec (small animal MRI)
  • 600MHz NMR spectrometer with Sample Jet and cryoprobe
  • 600MHz NMR spectrometer with MAS probehead
  • Bruker Minispec NMR spectrometer
