Programme Boards
The Faculty of Medicine has established programme boards for all its master's and PhD programmes. The members of the programme boards include professors, students and external representatives, and they usually meet once or twice per semester. The boards are chaired by the programme coordinators.
Master's Programmes
The duty of the programme board is to stimulate the academic and pedagogic development of the master's programme and the included courses, and developing the master's degree into a solid and comprehensive education programme. The programme board should work to attract highly qualified applicants to the programme of study and to ensure that the education provides the necessary competence for the labour market and greater society - today and in the future.

PhD Programmes
The main duties of the PhD programme boards are to develop the PhD degrees into solid and comprehensive education and research programmes, to examine the admission applications, and to follow up the progression of the candidates.
In addition to the programme boards, the dean has also appointed a supervisory PhD committee which coordinates the complete portfolio of PhD programmes.
