What are good strategies to build models for predictions and policy analyses? How should hypotheses derived from economic theory be tested? This is central questions within econometrics. At the Department of Economics applied econometrics is a common denominator. Several researchers is doing applied work within fields as for example public economics, labor economics, political economy, development economics, macroeconomics and financial markets.
