Bijan Aryana

I’ve started my PhD on august 2008 under a research fellowship from NTNU. The title of my project is “Glocal Design, a Holistic Approach to Product Design and Development in Globalization Era”. Although the subject of my project is highly influenced by my previous experiences as an industrial designer in Iran, a country with cultural diversity and a unique socio-political structure and historical background, I’m going to explore broader domains to understand the relationship between cultural differences and design, with a focus on design of handheld devices.

My main design/research interests are cultural diversity and consumer electronics.
