I started my PhD in industrial ecology programme from December 2008. Working together with Prof. Daniel Mueller, my project is to analyze the global anthropogenic aluminum cycle and its impact on socio-economic and environmental system with particular attention to global trade flows. It aims at providing an adequate and accurate picture of the global aluminum production network through material flow analysis, a clearer identification of potentials to increase resource efficiency and the sustainability regarding energy & emission issues, and a better understanding of how and where to target activities for the public and regulatory authority.

I came from a background of geography, resource and environment, and held diverse interests in these related topics. I received a BS from the College of Environmental Sciences at Beijing University (PKU), China in 2004 and then an MSc of resource economics from Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2007. After that I worked for the Research Institute of Economics and Technology, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) for nearly two years.

In my spare time I like watching and playing football, reading (and sometimes writing), hiking and backpacking. And certainly, I am beginning to enjoy the great natural scenes and outdoor activities in Norway!
