Chandra Mandil Yogal
About
I studied allied health science and started work on the public health sector more than a decade ago in Nepal. After completion of master in public health from Hebrew University, Israel in 2013, I resumed my work in the public health sector at the department of community program, Kathmandu University particularly focusing on quality health care for the rural community. I have been primarily responsible for extending health care services, need assessment, community-based research, supervising international students and collaboration with national and international stakeholders working together to improve rural health. My PhD project is on Diabetes among women in rural Nepal; risk factors, complication and relation with vitamin A and D. A prospective cohort study. We aim to determine the prevalence of diabetes and explore the risk factors (know and unknown) in order to develop the preventive strategies emphasized in the rural settings.
