Research interests:

  • Working life discourse, particularly in the healthcare sector
  • Teamwork and team communication
  • Poststructuralist discourse and cultural studies
  • Gender, ethnicity and intersectionality
  • Second language studies

Teaching: I participate in most courses in discourse studies on all levels, with a particular responsibility for AVS2215 Language, gender and ethnicity.

Network: The multidisciplinary research network EMMA-Nord (In the Name of Gender Equality? On Ethnic Minority and Majority Relations), with members from Norway's three northernmost universities and from the POMOR University.

Latest research project: Talking gender and ethnicity – analyses of talk at work.

Current research project: Communication in action - team performance and communication skills in critical care.
