My research interests include:
Cultural perceptions of the body, pregnancy, reproduction and gender
Biotechnology, cultural constructions of genes
kinship studies
gender equality as a cultural category
Projects:
- Reproductive relations. Production of gendered meanings in the field of reproduction. Financed by the Norwegian Research Council (Gender research programme)
- The social meaning of children. Reproductive choice, gender, and social class. Financed by the Norwegian Research Council (FRISAM- programme).
- Perceptions of gender, genes and reproduction. Financed by the Norwegian Research Council (ELSA-research). (project is concluded)
