Background and activities

Area of research

My name is Robert Ness, and I work as a post-doc in the department of interdisciplinary studies of culture. I am a sociologist, and I belong to a research community called STS Society for Social Studies of Science.  My thesis, which was finished in 2007, was about the creation of different green innovations. Examples of these innovations include salt power plants, gaspower plants and road pricing. Now, I'm working on climate change and climate knowledge and how this is being imparted to different important groups and how they use this knowledge in their daily lives. Earlier, I did some research on ordinary people's understanding of climate change.
