Background and activities
Working on the project of computer vision in aquaculture systems. The main objective of the project will be to bridge real time computer vision principles and technology with fundamental biological knowledge of the behaviour of postlarval European lobster for automated recognition and quantification of the species’ behavioural phenotypes. The overall goal for this research is to build an automatic and intelligent system for profitable and robust industrial-scale mass rearing of the European lobster.
