Project 'Nyweb' (October 2014 - August 2015)
My role in the project was to work with overall quality of the University Library's webpages. Main focus was organisation of the webpages, proof-reading published texts and translation from Norwegian to English and from English to Norwegian.
PhD project (August 2008 - July 2013)
Mapping of Norwegian-speaking children's language acquisition process from 8 months of age to 30 months of age. The mapping is done primarily with the use of the Norwegian adaptation of the MacArthur Communicative Development Inventory. Important milestones in development (such as comprehension of prepositions and structuring of linguistic categories) are registered in order to compare the entire acquisition process with data acquired from research done on English-speaking children thus revealing potential universal patterns of acquisition.
The informants participating in the project attend various experiments at NTNUs Language Acquisition and Language Processing Lab where the reported development registered in the CDI is tested. Affirmations on comprehension of language provide evidence for the claimed development.
