Background and activities
- Head of garden
- Ass. professor in botany
My workplace is in Ringve Botanical Garden, which is part of the University Museum. I am the scientific head of the living plant collections, and the work range from garden delvelopment and collection management to producing plant labels and planning the guided tours and education programme in the garden. The garden has a team of four permanent gardeners, as well as summer helpers, and communication with visitors is also an important part of our job.
- Scientifically I work with flora and ecology of semi-natural grasslands, and my special interest is the responses to management and disturbance in clonal species.
