Building automation and -operation
The modern society more and more emphasises administration, operation, maintenance and development (FDVU) of buildings based on a life-cycle assessment.
We take a special interest in interaction between buildings and air conditioning from an energy conservation angle, and the impact of indoor environment on health and productivity.
As a specialist field, building automation is of great importance for both indoor environment and energy consumption. In this connection, special attention is paid to optimal control, regulation and surveillance (SRO) and operation and maintenance of climate processes using data based plants for central operations control (SD).
Development of new and better tools for simulation of integrated climate processes is an important part of our research on resource efficient indoor environment. We work on concepts for interactive modelling and simulation of buildings with air conditioning. When fully developed, these concepts can be used for different tasks, with different detailing level and can be adjusted for users with different competence level.
