Registration form

This two day workshop will focus on in vivo MR imaging and spectroscopy of small animals, as well as give and introduction to MR theory and hands-on training at our MR-scanners. On day 1, there will be plenary lectures from international and local speakers focusing on small animal MRI and MRS applications for brain, heart and cancer. On day 2, participants will be divided into groups and take part in hands-on training on our MR-scanners, as well as learn more about MR-theory/physics. The course will be put together so that it should interests both those that are new to the field of MRI/MRS, and those that have some experience with the techniques.

Topics:

  • In vivo MR spectroscopy in brain and cancer research
  • Preclinical MR in cancer: in vivo MR imaging and spectroscopy
  • Small animal cardiac imaging
  • Perfusion imaging
  • Brain imaging with manganese-enhanced MRI
  • MRI of stem cells and nanoparticles
  • Post processing of MR-data
  • Hands-on training on 7T dedicated animal MR scanner and 500/600 MHz high resolution spectrometers
  • MR-theory/physics

Invited speakers:

  • Professor Arend Heerschap, Nijmegen Centre for Molecular Life Sciences (NCMLS), University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands
  • Associate professor Michael Horn, Center for Physiology and Bio-Imaging, University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
  • Professor Henrik Larsson, Functional Imaging Unit, Glostrup Hospital, University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Local speakers: To be announced.
