Topics
The organizers invite active participation from academia as well as practitioners. The aim of the forum is the development of new knowledge which will contribute to a better focus in health promotion work and to produce knowledge which can be applied to enable people to increase control over, and to improve, their health, thereby enabling people to lead an active and productive life, optimizing health and quality of life. All aspects in the scientific exploration of what promotes, maintains and restores good health – both in healthy, vulnerable and diseased populations are welcomed. Papers dealing with best practice and their solutions are especially welcome for promoting collaboration between universities, research institutes and industry.
We invite abstracts covering both fundamental and applied research on health promotion and salutogenesis. Topics of particular relevance are health promotion in different contexts:
- Positive occupational health
- Health promotion among the ill
- Global Health
- Health promotion in the life span
- Health promotion in Action
The abstracts should be at maximum 250 words and be following the guidelines for abstract preparation. Please indicate which of the topics numbered above that your abstract should be sorted under. There will be oral and poster sessions, so the authors need to indicate their preferred format of presentation. Abstract submission deadline is 25. March.
Notification of acceptance will be given by April 25. Approved abstracts will be published electronically at the conference.
The Health Promotion Research; An International Forum 2012 features a new presentation format electronic posters. The purpose of this is to make the poster presentations more attractive and audible and visible in addition to make travel more convenient by sparing the participants from travelling with bulky posters. Posters on similar themes will be clustered together in order to make it possible to have a good discussion with others interested in the theme after the presentations. Audiovisual guidelines will be given in the abstract submission acceptance letter.
Guidelines for abstracts of HEALTHFORUM 2012

The abstract should cover small introduction, method, results and a small discussion of the results. It should be no longer than one A4 page with body text in Times New Roman 12 pt. (250 words including title, subtitles, key words, author's names an affiliations ).
The abstract has to be submitted as a pdf. file. Tables, figures and diagrams may be used. Figure and table captions should not be smaller than Times New Roman 10 pt.
