Department of Modern Foreign Languages

IllustrasjonThe Department of Modern Foreign Languages offers teaching at bachelor's and master's level in English, French, German and European Studies with Foreign Languages, as well as teaching at bachelor's or introductury level in Spanish, Italian and Japanese.Teaching at PhD level is offered in English, French and German.

The department has 54 academic staff members including PhD students and 8 administrative staff members.

Teaching

For most courses, the teaching starts on 9 January. Information about the course schedule for each course is published on It's learning and in the NTNU timetable.

Course registration

Register for the courses on-line at Studentweb. Please note that the registration deadline for courses and exams is 15 February.

Orientation meetings

For English basic level courses, there will be an orientation meeting Monday 9 January at 10.15 in room D15. For other courses, a short orientation will be given during the first lecture.
