Summer school on C*-algebras and their interplay with dynamical systems

31 May - 4 June 2010

The summer school on C*-algebras and their interplay with dynamical systems took place from 31 May to 4 June 2010 at the Sophus Lie Conference Center in Nordfjordeid, Norway. It was arranged by the operator algebra group at NTNU and the operator algebra group at the university of Oslo.

The summer school was attended by 21 Ph.D. students, 3 postdocs and 10 tenured staff. It consisted of 3 mini-courses and contributed talks by 12 of the participants. One mini-course was given by Aidan Sims, another was given by Steve Kaliszewski and John Quigg, and the third was given by Andreas Thom. See the scientific program for more details and also the following report on the summer school.

The summer school was supported by the Research Council of Norway (NFR) through the project Operator Algebras, and by NordForsk through the research network Operator Algebra and Dynamics.

The summer school was mentioned in the local newspaper.
