Laboratories

The hydrodynamic laboratories at the Marine Technology Centre are jointly used by NTNU's Department of Marine Technology, the Centre for Ships and Ocean Structures (CeSOS), and MARINTEK (SINTEF). NTNU uses the laboratories for research and teaching, while MARINTEK uses the laboratories for contract research.

Students have access to the laboratories for demonstrations and exercises in topics related to hydrodynamics, and use the laboratories for projects and masters theses. In particular, both the small towing tank and the student workshop are available for students outside of organised teaching activities.
