Best Paper Award:
The MITIP 2011 Best Paper Award was presented to Ihsan Arkan of Ghent University for the paper "Controlling in-plant logistics by deploying RFID system in the item-level manufacturing: A case study". Congratulations to both Ihsan and Rik for their contribution!
MITIP 2012:
It was also announced during the closing ceremony that MITIP 2012 will be hosted in Budapest, Hungary. Zsolt Kemeny of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences gave a short speech and informed us that more information will follow. Watch this space!

MITIP 2011 conference is organized by NTNU, Department of Production and Quality Engineering with support from SINTEF Technology and Society, Operations Management.

The main theme of this conference will be:
ICT enabled intelligent manufacturing and supply chains
MITIP 2011 will concentrate on the dissemination of ideas, knowledge and experiences about ICT-driven innovation in intelligent manufacturing and supply chains. The conference is targeted to scholars and practitioners involved in research activities focusing on (but not limited to) the role of ICT in intelligent manufacturing and supply chain operations.
For several years, MITIP has proven to be an important forum for researchers from academia and industry to present the results of their work, inspiring a creative dialogue among participants. As a basic principle, the conference topics are both of theoretical and practical pertinence.
