Social Work
Social work is directed to social problems and less advantaged groups, and has a central place in the implementation of social policy. As an academic dicipline, social work is grounded in this applied aspect.
Health Science
Health science is a multidiciplinary study into health, health services and care. Health science tries to understand and explain social behaviour that influence or is influenced by health. NTNU is the only university in Norway offering a master in health science from a social science perspective.
Disability Studies
Disability studies focus on the implications of having an impairment in different societies, and how man made environment can be disabling for people with impairments.
