Language is a unique and fascinating ability in humans. Many aspects of human kommunikasjon language, speech and communication have still not been explored. The Department of Language and Communication Studies is a meeting place for people who are interested in language and verbal communication. Staff and students explore this realm from different angles.

In Building 10, Level 5 you will find Applied linguistics (verbal communications studies), Norwegian as a second language, and Norwegian courses for foreigners.

Have a look at our phonetics laboratory or visit the Internet pages for The Language Library (our lending library)
