LingPhil Summer School 2016
From May 29 - June 4, at Sommerøya, Tromsø, Norway
We are proud to announce the 2016 LingPhil Summer School. The Summer School will take place in Sommerøya outside of Tromsø, Norway from May 29 - June 4. Come join us in this beautiful area within the Arctic circle!
This year’s school will feature several classes covering multiple areas of linguistics, in addition to generic skills workshops and opportunities for students to present and discuss their own work. We aim to foster rich opportunities for discussions, conversations, and interaction with the teachers and organizers throughout the event.
The following classes will be offered:
Intro Pragmatics (with acquisitional and experimental flavors)

Linguistic data in the digital age: collection, management, exploration and citation

PhD candidates affiliated with LingPhil can apply for a travel grant to participate in the summer school. This grant will cover travel costs (to/from Tromsø).
LingPhil will give a maximum of 3 grants to international participants. The grants will be a maximum of NOK 5000 to cover accommodation and food.
International candidates those who pay for accommodation and food themselves may be accepted on the condition that the payment is done ahead of the event.
