Finding housing

Most, but not all visiting international students or exchange students will be able to find housing with the aid of the International Section. However, if you have to find your own housing, what follows should be of help.

Illustrasjon StudiebyEn
StudiebyEn will help you find housing if all else fails -- the organization has a "roof over your head guarantee". This may be in a private home at first while you search for an apartment or shared living space.  But you should still start searching for a place to live as soon as you can if you have not been offered housing by the International Section.

Other private housing options
Check this page if you are not allocated housing by the university for links to other housing listings.

Housing for international PhD candidates Check this page if you are an international PhD candidate. However, if you are a PhD funded by the Quota programme or an HEC student financed by SiU, you will be offered help with housing from the International Section.

iBolig.no
At  iBolig.no you can use a search engine to search for available housing -- but you will need some help from Norwegian friends, since the listings are all in Norwegian. The service was created by NTNU students.
