International seminar Materials Science
This year NTNU has the pleasure of hosting the seminar, which is the fifteenth in the series. The seminar will be held at the NTNU Gløshaugen campus during November 18-19, 2010.
In order to promote internationalisation between students in the field of material science in different countries a co-operation was started between the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden, and Helsinki University of Technology (TKK), Helsinki, Finland, in 1996. In 1997 material science students from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine (ICSTM), London, U.K., also participated, but ICSTM later withdrew from the co-operation. As a new partner the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway, joined the cooperation in 2001. NTNU hosted the sixth seminar in December 2001. Since 2001 the three Nordic universities have taken turns in hosting the seminar with great success.
