The Research School aims at contributing to promote research at a top international level within the field of medical imaging in Norway. The Research School is based on a network combining a number of prominent research groups nation-wide, based both at universities, university hospitals, SINTEF and industry with high-standard development & research activities.

The Norwegian Research School in Medical Imaging is funded through an 8-year grant from the Research Council of Norway. This is one of several research schools within different fields. All share the feature of being organised as networks, aiming at the cooperation between leading research communities nation-wide. Consult the NRC's webpages for further information.
