GE Vingmed Ultrasound is world leader in cardiovascular ultrasound. Our company was founded 20 years ago based on research done at NTNU and St.Olavs Hospital, meaning MI Lab is for us an extension of a long history of collaboration with the technical and clinical research centers in Trondheim. For our MI Lab participation we have two main goals:
+ Enhance diagnostic precision, drive clinical productivity and make ultrasound images easier to interpret by new innovations in 4D ultrasound.
+ Enable early diagnosis of heart disease by development of low cost, small size and easy to use ultrasound devices with innovative clinical tools tailored for use by primary care physicians.
