Silicon for the Chemical Industry, Trondheim, Norway

The aim of Silicon for the Chemical Industry is to teach the silicon community on Silicon Process Technology, Silicon Quality Assessment and Performance in the Subsequent Chemical Reactions. Environmental issues are also important. The different processes from quartz to silicones or electronic silicon are strongly linked, and a sustainable process is dependent on a thorough understanding of the total process. Silicon producers as well as users and academia will attend.

International Course on Process Metallurgy of Aluminium, Trondheim, NORWAY

The course has been given on an annual basis since 1981. It provides an updated, comprehensive review of the state of the art in aluminium production. The aim of the course is to "understand the process and act accordingly". Since 1981 the total attendance has been 2125 participants from 235 companies and institutions, representing 50 countries.

Fundamentals and their Application in Aluminium Production, Trondheim, NORWAY

There has been a request from aluminium smelters for a more basic education and a more detailed introduction to aluminium electrolysis technology than it is possible to give during the one-week course: “The International Course on Process Metallurgy of Aluminium.” As a response we are offering a two-week course in fundamentals and their application in primary aluminium production. The course will contain fundamental knowledge and thorough understanding through lectures, written exercises and laboratory demonstrations, and practical application to industrial problems.
