The NTNU University Museum has two botanical gardens.

Ringve Botanical Garden

Foto: Vibekke VangeRingve Botanical Garden in Trondheim is a place where you can enjoy the colourful biodiversity of plants, and get to know more about trees, traditional medicinal plants, plant evolution and popular ornamental plants, among other things. The garden is situated on the Lade peninsula, ca. 3 km east of Trondheim city centre. The garden is always open and has free entry.



Kongsvoll Alpine Garden

Foto: NTNU VitenskapsmuseetKongsvoll Alpine Garden is located at the mountain Dovre and is a natural garden presenting a selection of the rich mountain flora in the area. The garden is open in summer and is easily accessible to visitors.
