All questions regarding the Admission and Applicaton must be directed to the Admissions Office:
email: opptak@adm.ntnu.no
Phone: + 47 73 59 77 00.
Applicants are divided into two main categories:
- Applicants with NTNU affiliation
This includes Academic staff at NTNU, PhD Candidates, Postdoctoral Fellows, International master's students and Exchange students. Also for spouses/partners of Academic staff with a permanent position at NTNU, who will be paid for by their spouse's Department/Faculty. - Applicants without NTNU affiliation
Immigrants who have a residence permit in Norway, also spouses of PhD Candidates, of Postdoctoral Fellows (temporary employed) and of students at NTNU. Please note that applicants belonging to this category can not apply for level 1 or Short course.
Short (basic) course
The short course is an alternative to the Level 1 Norwegian course, and thus rules out admission to Level 1. Students admitted to the short course may later apply for admission to the Level 2 course by taking the placement test.
The following applicant groups may apply for this course:
- Research staff who will be residing in Norway for at least 6 months and their spouses
- PhD candidates
- International master students and exchange students who will be residing in Norway for at least 3 months
