International Master's Degrees

Semester start information 2014

This information is relevant for students enrolled the autumn semster 2014 to an international master's programme at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology.

Please note that the information below concerns Faulty activities (except the Orientation Week). Detailed information about your specific programme's arrangements will be provided directly to you e-mail. 

Matriculation Ceremony #2

— Mandatory for all international students

Tuesday August 12 2014
Time: 13:00
Place: Realfagbygget Auditorium R5

This is your first official day at the campus. The Matriculation Ceremony starts at 09:00 at the lawn outside the main building of the Campus Gløshaugen. After this ceremony, there is a Matriculation Ceremony part 2, for all international students. It is taking place in the auditorium R5, Realfagbygget. Attendance on the Ceremony is mandatory for all international students admitted to a MSc programme at tne Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology. 

Orientation Week

— Recommended

All of week 33: Monday August 11 - Sunday August 17
Registration needed!

We strongly recommend all international students to attend the programme in the Orientation Week. Make sure you register for the arrangement in July!

Information Meeting

— Mandatory for all new master students

Monday August 18
Time: 09:00-11:00
Place: Realfagbygget Auditorium R1

This is the first meeting for ALL new master's students at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology. Attendance is mandatory, and all students will be registered upon arrival to the meeting.

Course in Health, Security & Environment (HSE)

— Mandatory for all new master students
Tuesday August 19 
Time: 08:00-17:30
Place: Realfagbygget Auditorium R2

HSE-training is mandatory for all students at the NT-faculty. Please visit the course site.

Lecture in Scientific authorship

— Recommended
Wednesday August 20
Time: 08:15-10:00
Place: Realfagbygget Auditorium R1

This lecture is offered all new master's students at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology and is strongly recommended to attend.
