The Hamann lab is interested in the plant cell wall integrity maintenance mechanism, which is active during development and plant responses to biotic and abiotic stress. We use a combination of genetic, cellbiological and ´omics methods to understand the mode of action of the mechanism and explore possible strategies to use the resulting knowledge to improve the performance of food and bioenergy crop plants.
