Structure of ferroelectric PbTiO3 at 295 K (Tc = 763 K). Relative to the tetragonal cell defined by the Pb atoms, the atoms Ti, O1 and O2 are shifted from their cubic-phase sites by small amounts ð z > 0 along the polar z axis (vertical up), with ðzTi < { ðzO1, ðzO2}.
