1. PhD student and researcher visits
The net supports research visits for PhD students/researchers to go to other Nordic laboratories to use equipment for a particular research task. Travel, accommodation and microscopy rent expenses will be covered. A small number of longer stays (max 3 months) and a larger number of shorter stays (minimum 3 days) can be granted, depending on experience of the student/researcher and on the technique needed.

2. Workshops in advanced TEM techniques
Four workshops dedicated to single advanced techniques are planned.
The four application groups will host one workshop each related to their field of competence. There will be a focus on hands-on experience and practical training. PhD students from all Nordic TEM groups can apply for grants to go to these workshops. Five grants will be given for each workshop.
