A Centre for Research-based Innovation (CRI)
The CRI scheme promotes innovation by supporting long-term research through close cooperation between R&D intensive companies and prominent research institutions.
Objectives
The main objective for the Centres for Research-based Innovation (also known as SFI) is to enhance the capability of the business sector to innovate by focusing on long-term research based on forging close alliances between research-intensive enterprises and prominent research groups.
SAMCoT belongs to a group of seven new centres which were appointed by the Research Council Board on 16th December 2010. SAMCoT started its activities on the 1st of April 2011 and is expected to operate until 2019.
