Equality and Diversity - One-Year Programme

It is part of Norwegians' understanding of self that Norway is a land of equal opportunity, and the international society also seem to expect it from us.

About the programme

This one-year programme place a good foundation for the understanding of what Norwegian equality and diversity entails, both in Norwegian and international context.

The one-year programme consists of four courses with the following focus:

  • Theoretical, historical and thematically introduction to the debates of gender, sexuality and ethnicity
  • Norwegian equality politics in a global context
  • The new information technology and the social media's significance for equality and quality of life
  • Gender, ethnicity and communication at work

The programme is taught in Norwegian, except for the course KULT2208 Gender and Norwegian Culture: Paradoxes of Equality II.

The language of instruction in this programme is Norwegian

You have to meet the Norwegian language requirements, or have a Scandinavian language as your mother tongue, if you want to apply to any of NTNU’s degree programmes taught in Norwegian.

You also must meet the basic requirement for admission, and demonstrate that you meet the English language requirements.

The application deadline for the programme is April 15th. Students apply through Samordna Opptak.
