Marin Resources/Aquaculture
- Specialisation
Norway is a coastal country and for this reason, the oceanic resources play an important financial role for us. Knowledge about the marine ecosystems is important if we are to take care of the species living in the ocean and thus future resources.
If you want to learn more about life in the sea or if you would like to work within an industry predicted to become Norway’s future financial backbone, the subject combination Marine Resources/Aquaculture is the right one for you.
Trondheim and NTNU have multiple academic environments researching into marine ecosystems and marine resources. The Department of Biology, Department of Biotechnology and SINTEF have extensive qualifications within fields of importance for research and development in marine biology and aquaculture. That means that our students meet an active environment and experience lectures, field work and laboratory courses at a high professional level.
