Living images surround us on a daily basis, and are used as sources of information, interaction and entertainment.

Living images, such as film, television and video have affected our culture. The rapid development within video technology, digital photographs and the Internet have contributed to expand audiovisual communication.

The significant role which audiovisual media holds in society has led to an increasing demand for understanding the distinctive character and importance of living images. Therefore, the bachelor's programme in Film and Video Production aims to provide knowledge on the aesthetics and socio-cultural significance of living images.

Film and Video Production is a pratical-theoretical course of study. Its primary emphasis is on filmic devices and practical media communication.
