Natural Environment Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry
- Specialisation
NTNU is the only university in Norway offering a degree programme in Natural Environment Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry.
The philosophy behind this combination is that in order to understand
the chemical substances' behaviour in the environment, high-quality chemical analyses are necessary. You will be taught how environmental poisons and heavy metals behave in air, water, food chains, plants and animals, and methods of analyzing for environmental monitoring. Please refer to the field of study called Natural Environment Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry in the Master's Degree in Chemistry for information about potential areas of specialization if you should choose to continue your studies.
This subject combination also qualifies for admission to the two-year long Master's programmes Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry. If admitted, students must take several compulsory courses from the Bachelor's programme as well.
