EXCHANGE STUDENTS
The majority of international students at the Faculty are exchange students who come to study for short periods of time, within the framework of exchange programmes or bilateral agreements between their institution and NTNU. If your institution has no formal agreement at present, you are welcome here as an international self-financing student.
Students who are invited by NTNU for short periods of time (between 3 and 12 months), are enrolled at their home university and do not have to meet admission requirements (e.g. language requirements). The normal language of instruction, with some exceptions, is Norwegian. However there are many courses taught in English. Exams can be arranged in English and in the majority of the cases textbooks are in English or alternative titles in English will be recommended.
