Course content
The course will address drawing, presentation. 3D-form. Colour.
Learning outcome
Autumn: Introduction to basic techniques in drawing presentation related to design with emphasis on form and analysis of form. Introduction to the principles in layout and visual presentation in design. Spring: Introduction to problems concerning plastic 3D and basic theory of form. Introduction to understanding and use of colour.
Design history relates to historical and systematic questions within design. The course will provide knowledge of historically important design products and their theoretical background with emphasis on understanding of their place in technical, production-related, social and ideological systems.
Learning methods and activities
Exercises, individual supervision. Lectures, seminars, and student colloquia. The course is coordinated with the teaching in course TPD4105 Product Design 2 - IT. Lessons will be given in English if some international students follow the course.
