About the course
Course content
Design of energy- and environmentally friendly buildings. Topics presented are energy use, materials use, space use, environmental impact, indoor climate requirements, etc.
Learning outcome
The subject aims at giving the students the relevant knowledge, and the ability to use this knowledge, in the design of buildings. The students will also learn to analyse the energy performance and environmental impact of alternative building designs.
Learning methods and activities
The subject will consist either of one major or of several smaller design projects. In addition, there will be exercises analysing the energy- and environmental performance of the project(s). Lessons will be given in English if some international students follow the course.
Required previous knowledge
Completed three years basic courses in architecture, bachelor in architecture or equivalent. Participation requires that the students also take the subject AAR4915 Energy- and Resource Use or that they have taken that subject earlier. Registration deadline: 15. november.
