Course content

The aim with the course is to give a wider understanding, and at the same time to give a deeper study in topics within the Tectonic.

1. Experimenting and Research.
2. Tectonic theory and Esthetic Philosophy.
3. Studies of Building
5. Architectural Design.

Learning outcome

1. Developing the indivdual working methods and skills to be able to handle a creative design process on the way to find Architectural implications.

2. Collecting and applying the necessary pratical skills, and theoretical knowledge.

Learning methods and activities

Experimenting, individual studies, workshops and Architectural Design, indvidually and in smaller groups.

Site visits and Study trip.
Lessons will be given in English if some international students follow the course.

Required previous knowledge

Completed three years basic courses in architecture, bachelor in architecture or equivalent. The course is a main element in combination with AAR4910 Building Materials. Deadline: November 15.
