Course content
The course will focus on how a building project develops and be conductet from the early phases through planning, design, construction to completed project and building in use. The course will give basic introduction to the building process, the most important framework influencing the project, and strategies for conducting a project.
Topics that will be dealt with;
- architectonic quality
- processes and activities
- actors, roles and tasks
- project framework
- time, costs and resources
- collaboration and management
- strategies
The course will focus on building projects in a holistic perspective and the influence and consequences on architectonic quality.
Learning outcome
The course will give a basic introduction to the building process, premises and conditions that influence the project, and different strategies for architectural management.

Lectures and prosjekt work.
Project work individually or in groups
Required previous knowledge
Completed three years basic courses in architecture, bachelor in architecture or equivalent, or equivalent level (Bachelor) in engineering science and technology
