About the course
Course content
The subject will give knowledge about the plan process with emphasize on planning and building regulations in Norway. The building regulation process will emphasize on the advanced conference, applications and plans of control for the design and the execution of projects.
Lectures combined with examples from projects in Trondheim. Focus on the interplay between the several actors in the building process. The students project will handle an evaluation of a building regulation in Trondheim, or develop an application of a construction project.
Learning outcome
The course objective is to give a introduction to laws and directions related to plan and building regulations in Norway, and experience of how this is being handled in practice by the architect, conteractors and legal authories.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and workshop. Exercises and project work individually or in group work.

Required previous knowledge
Completed three years basic courses in architecture, bachelor in architecture or equivalent, or equivalent level (Bachelor) in engineering science and technology. Carried through AAR4465 Architecture 6 with the Architectural management module or other previous relevant knowledge. Registration deadline: 1. juni.
