Course content
The content of the course is the nature of architectural theory. This is discussed through concrete examples from the world of architecture and art and relevant theories from the discipline of architecture as well as other forms of theoretcal - foremost scientific - and practical knowledge
Learning outcome
The aim of the course is to give the students a basic understanding of architectural theory. This comprises understanding of the character and role of theory in the discipline of architecture, different types of theory like aesthetic theory and ideologies, as well as the relationship between theory and practice.
