About the course

Course content

The course objective will be to explore the relations between a building, the workspace and the individual worker seen in relation to new trends in organization development and architecture / design. A basic assumption is that all organizations are comprised of four elements; knowledge management, ICT, organization and physical environment. The course stresses the value of understanding the conditions behind facilities management and space planning. Emphasis will be given to case studies focusing on how different companies and organizations develop and manage their real estate. The project assignments might be evaluation of existing buildings and development of new office solutions, new concept for health services etc.

The course can be interconnected with AAR4613 Symbiosis or AAR6028 Strategic Space Management
